Stan Davis
School Counselor and author of Schools Where Everyone Belongs and Empowering Bystanders
Stan Davis is a certified Olweus bullying prevention consultant and a founding member of the International Bullying Prevention Association. He works as an elementary counselor and trains educators, parents, and students nationwide in strategies for effective bullying prevention. With more than 20 years' experience as a school guidance counselor, Davis brings practical advice and education to those concerned with the crisis of bullying. He is the author of Schools Where Everyone Belongs: Practical Strategies for Reducing Bullying (2nd edition, 2007 Research Press) and Empowering Bystanders in Bullying Prevention K-8 (2007, Research Press). Davis also maintains an informative website, www.stopbullyingnow.com.
James Garbarino, Ph.D.
Maude C. Clark Chair in Humanistic Psychology and Director of the Center for Rights of Children, Loyola University
Dr. James Garbarino holds the Maude C. Clarke Chair in Humanistic Psychology and is Director of the Center for the Rights of Children at Loyola University, Chicago. As a highly respected professor, author and media consultant, Dr. Garbarino has dedicated his life to the protection of children. His two most recent books, See Jane Hit: Why Girls Are Growing More Violent and What We Can Do About It, as well as And Words Can Hurt Forever: How to Protect Adolescents from Bullying, Harassment and Emotional Violence have tapped into the rising crisis of bullying and harassment in today’s schools. Dr. Garbarino also serves as a scientific expert witness in both criminal and civil cases involving violence and children.
Parry Aftab, Ph.D.
Founder and Executive Director of WiredSafety.org and StopCyberbullying.org
Dr. Parry Aftab is an Internet privacy and security lawyer and a legal expert in all aspects of Internet best practices, cybercrime and abuse. As one of the first to practice Internet law, she has advised the industry on consumer and children’s issues since 1994. She is an award-winning columnist for InformationWeek magazine, and is a frequent expert resource for, and quoted by, most leading media outlets around the world. Dr. Aftab is the founder and executive director of www.WiredSafety.org, the world’s largest cybersafety and help group—reaching nearly 1,000 victims of cyberbullying and online harassment every month. She also developed www.StopCyberbullying.org , a site devoted exclusively to cyberbullying issues.
In 2005, the U.S. Congress formally honored Dr. Aftab for her dedicated work in cyberbullying, research and prevention.
Horacio Sanchez

Bernard Hoffman
Administrator Emeritus, Chief Consultant for Risk Issues, Pennsylvania Department of Education
Bernard Hoffman was a staff member with the Neshaminy School District in Langhorne, Bucks County, PA from 1958 to 1997. In his almost 40 years at Neshaminy, Hoffman effectively served various roles from classroom instructor to superintendent, as well as a commissioned officer of the State since 1976. He served as a member of the Attorney General’s Task Force on Family Violence, and as a member of the Governor’s Community Partnership for Safe Children. Currently, Hoffman is a consultant to the Pennsylvania Department of Education in the areas of at-risk issues, student assistance and administrative affairs.

Susan Limber, Ph.D., MLS
Director, Center for Youth Participation and Human Rights, Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life, Clemson University
Co-author of the “Blueprints” Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, Dr. Limber is the Associate Director of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life and Associate Professor of Psychology at Clemson University. As a developmental psychologist, her research and writing has focused on the legal and psychological issues related to youth violence, child protection and children’s rights. She has directed the first wide-scaled implementation and evaluation of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program in the United States. In recent years, she has consulted with numerous schools around the country on the reduction of bullying among school children.
Marlene Snyder, Ph.D.
Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life, Clemson University
Dr. Snyder is an Assistant Research Professor at Clemson University and known internationally for her conference speaking and training. She has acted as a technical assistance consultant for national education, child welfare, juvenile justice agencies and parent education organizations. She consults regularly with a wide variety of professional and community organizations on a range of topics related to AD/HD and bullying prevention. Throughout her career, Dr. Snyder has been know for her ability to translate multi-disciplinary research into easily understood, useful and practical materials for professionals and parents.
