New Bullying Prevention Legislation in Pennsylvania

Professionals who attend the online event are eligible to earn 1.0 Continuing Education (CE) credit: Act 48 only.
There is no cost for participants to attend, but space is limited for this live, online event. All registrants will receive an e-mail confirmation regarding the status of their participation. The e-mail will also contain instructions on how to download the free computer program necessary for participation.
Who Should Attend
This one-hour online event is intended for administrators, school board members, school solicitors and other school services personnel who would like to gain a better understanding of new bullying legislation in Pennsylvania and how to craft effective school policy to fulfill the requirements of that legislation.
Event Synopsis
The live, online session will provide an overview of the new legislation and parameters outlining the requirements school districts must enact no later than January 1, 2009. Hosted by PA Department of Education (PDE), the session features Mike Kozup, PDE Safe Schools Supervisor and Mary Dolan, Safe Schools Coordinator, Center for Safe Schools.
