Continuing Education

Professionals who attend Institute events are eligible to earn Continuing Education (CE) credits in four categories. Credits are processed through the Cambria-Somerset Council for Education of Health Professionals, Inc.  Because credit hours vary by event, please refer to the Upcoming Events page for more detail.

Credit Categories—The following CE credit categories are offered for each event. When registering for an event, please indicate which type(s) of credits you are eligible to receive.

• Act 48 Hours:  The Cambria-Somerset Council for Education of Health Professionals, Inc. is a PA-approved provider of Act 48 Hours.
• CEU Hours:  Events have been approved for CEU hours by the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and the Cambria-Somerset Council for Education of Health Professionals, Inc.
• Social Work Credit:  Application has been submitted for credit hours of continuing education through co-sponsorship with the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, a PA-approved provider of social work continuing education.
• Psychology Credit:  The Cambria-Somerset Council for Education of Health Professionals, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Council maintains responsibility for the program.
